Meredith Pelcak grew up in Derry, NH where she attended public school and graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1999. She attended the University of California at Berkeley from 1999 through 2003 where she received a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Linguistics. She studied abroad her junior year (2001-2002) at the University of Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. She returned to New Hampshire upon completing her undergratuate studies where she took a job teaching Spanish at Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH. While teaching at Alvirne, Ms. Pelcak completed her M.A.T. in Spanish at Rivier College. As part of this program she studied at El Instituto Cultural in Oaxaca, Mexico in the summer of 2005.

Ms. Pelcak has two brothers who are both currently serving in the U.S. Army. She has a cat named Julius. She enjoys practicing yoga and cooking vegan food. She has a passion for literature and history, both English and Spanish-language.
