			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people are not aware that there was a genocide in Guatemala during the 1970&#8242;s and 1980&#8242;s. Your task is to <strong>raise</strong> awareness about the issues. Particularly with regard to <em>bringing the perpetrators to justice</em>.</p>

<p>This project, much like your digital arpillera, is to create awareness of an issue. This time, you are addressing what we specifically studied- The Guatemalan Genocide.</p>
<p>You are going to create a poster in PhotoShop- using information and data from your notes, websites, and the movies we have watched to create an awareness campaign about the genocide. Specifically, you need to address the issue of who and who has not been brought to <em>justice as a perpetrator</em>.</p>
<p>Other than what is outlined above, there are very few guidelines. However, you must:</p>
