You are going to take THREE online “tests” to examine the role that living conditions, money, and politics play in the immigration debate.
First click HERE
Take the test and respond in Word with an answer to the following question (1 paragraph):
Why do you have to work more hours to buy the same things in Mexico as opposed to the United States? Give 5 examples.
Then click HERE
Answer at least TWENTY questions. Then reflect in Word on the following question (1 paragraph):
Is the test easy or hard? Do you think that this a fair test to give to a prospective citizen?
Last, click HERE
Get to the end of the month. Then, in Word answer the following (1 paragraph):
What obstacles might have (or did) prevent you from saving money? How might this compare to what a recent migrant to the United States?
Final reflection:
Write an essay combining the experiences and information from the three “tests” above. What hardships to recent migrants potentially face in the United States? Why might this still be the superior option than staying in the home country?
